Drawings and Stuff

Hello my names Tom and Im an Artist/Illustrator whatever I also go by the name of Z.R on the Internet,

I was born in the Summer of 1990 in a town called Preston (Its now a City). Ive always liked Art and Ive been drawing from a young age. When people ask me what sort of things I draw the best way to describe my work is that I like to paint/draw people and Landscapes that don’t exist.  As a kid in the 90s I always drew weird characters, monster and sometimes dinosaurs. Some of the characters came out of my Head through Dreams and Nightmares, other times they were based on Cartoon characters I used to watch on Television at the time.

 

I have carried creating new and equally weird characters although way to adult hood by traditional methods by Drawing by Hand or Painting and colouring my work in Digitally via Photoshop.

 

Someone once said on the Internet that my work is like a Cross between Salvador Dali and Mattel (The Toy Company that made Masters of the Universe toys, Hotwheels cars and Barbie dolls). And I quite like that because some of the Male characters I draw are usually muscular and ripped and the Female characters are either slim and slender or big and beautiful depends I believe all people are beautiful.

I still live in Preston with my Family, and when Im not Painting and Drawing stuff I like to help out my local community whether its working on the Counter at the Local Second hand store or counting money at the local charity for the Blind. Im also a member of a Walking club and I enjoy meeting up with friends, watching films and going out for drinks.
